Dr. V U REDDY
Chief Scientist
Dr V U Reddy has a doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri and taught at IIT Chennai, IIT Kharagpur, Osmania University, IISc, Bangalore and IIIT, Hyderabad, and was a visiting faculty at Stanford University. During his tenure at IIT Chennai, he helped LRDE, Bangalore (the premier Defence R&D lab in the area of Radar Systems) in developing contemporary pulse-doppler radar. In 1982, Dr Reddy joined the faculty of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Osmania University, and is the founder Director of R&T Unit for Navigational Electronics. He moved to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in 1988 as a Professor of Electrical Communication Engineering and subsequently became the Department Chairman. During his tenure at IISc, Dr Reddy played a key role in starting the biennial conference series on Signal Processing and Communications (SPCOM) and IEEE Signal Processing Society, Bangalore Chapter.
During 1988 - 2000, he held several short-term visiting faculty appointments with Stanford and Iowa Universities.
After retiring from IISc in 2001, Dr Reddy joined HelloSoft India, as Chief Technology Officer, where he focused on the design and development of Physical layer of WLAN. In June 2003, he moved to International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad, as the Microsoft Chair Professor, where he focused on WLAN extensions and WiMax physical layer design. During his tenure at IIIT, he established campus-wide 802.11g based wireless network. In December 2005, he returned to HelloSoft as its Chief Scientist.
Dr Reddy's research interests include adaptive and sensor array signal processing, and for the last 10 years he has been focusing on design of OFDM based physical layer with applications to DSL, WLAN and WiMax modems.
Dr Reddy is a Fellow of the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), the Indian Academy of Sciences, the Indian National Academy of Engineering, the Indian National Science Academy (INSA) and the IEEE. Dr Reddy was a member of the Standing Committee of URSI (International Union of Radio Science) on developing countries and was the Chairman, INSA National Committee for URSI (1997-2000). Dr Reddy was the recipient of S K Mitra Memorial Award in 1989 from IETE.
B. LAKSHMI NARAYANA RAO

At Hellosoft B.Lakshmi Narayana Rao leads the Customer engineering function. He has a rich experience of 27 years including a short stint in academics as Head of the Department ECE at ASTRA Aurora group. He has worked as Director Engineering at Azingo leading a group of 75 engineers at various levels (Hyderabad, Pune) leading the Mobile Linux platform Engineering group. Earlier he worked as Director Engineering at One Convergence into IMS, FMC and dual mode mobile software leading team of 25 people. He also was associated with Ikanos and ADI working in areas of Broadband product line ADSL/VDSL gateways. He was earlier at Hellosoft heading the Networking Group in areas of WLAN technology area, SIP and VoIP, and also Cellular stack development. Earlier to Hellosoft he worked in Systems Engineering division, of Motorola GSD, HYDERABAD. He was earlier a Senior Technical Lead at IBM - Tivoli Systems, Austin TX USA, and a Senior Member Technical Staff, South Western Bell Technology Resources Inc, Austin TX USA. Early in his career he worked as Senior Scientific Officer IISc Bangalore. He started his career as Engineer at CMC in DBMS design group and embedded/firmware groups.
He has under graduate and graduate degree in ECE at IISc Bangalore.
P. CHANDRASEKHAR
Director- VOIP Group
At HelloSoft, Chandrasekhar is associated with the development & management of VoIP applications and system software on various DSP processors.
Chandra has more than 20 years experience, encompassing a wide range of hardware and software systems related to communication products. Prior to joining Hellosoft, he worked at ECIL(Electronics Corporation of India), PSI Data Systems and Ncore Technologies.
Chandra started his career with ECIL before moving to PSI Data Systems, where he spent the next 8 years with their communication products division. At PSI, he was associated with ATT, AMA, CTMX and CDQ projects in various technical capacities. At Ncore, Chandra was with the DSP group, handling software on micro controllers and DSP processors for Data and FAX modem applications.
Chandra has a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from REC, Warangal.
